Your Post is not going so well

I think everyone here in Steemit knows that feeling. You are writing a post and you put a lot of effort in it. You are going outside to take photographs, you spent hours of writing and editing, you inform about a topic and then put all that together to share it with the Steemit community. Often after posting your story you even are promoting it. But unfortunately in some cases your post is not going so well and you are getting frustrated over it.

Why you don´t need to get frustrated

Like I said I know that feeling too. We mistakenly think that all the effort was in vein, but thats not true. Everytime you put exertion into a post you are developing yourself. When you are writing or editing then your skills are getting better. When you are going outside to take photographs then you are sensitizing you awareness and at the same time largening your sight. And when you inform about something then you are sharping your mind and your knowledge. Those are reasons why i like steemit so much, there is nothing to lose but so much to win.

Why it´s still OK to be frustrated and how to handle it

Frustration is a normal emotion and it´s totally ok to be frustrated but the question is what are you doing with that frustration? Out of every emotion you can draw energy and it is your responsibility to steer this energy into a valuable direction. You can try to figure out why you got frustrated and can start to work against the reasons. Or you like I did you can write a post about it! There are many ways to handle frustration, often maybe you just need to talk to someone about it. Just keep in mind that nothing you put effort into is for nothing, you just need to find its values.

Stay positive and Steem on!

If you focus on what matters, work hard and stay positive, then i'm sure good things will happen. Rome wasn't built in a day and little progress is still progress.

You've hit the nail on the head with this one. We minnows know this feeling well.

=D we just need to steem on

Stay positive =D

Thank you @bitrocker2020 ill check out your stuff too =)

Great encouragement! I love that Steemit forces us to refine our ideas and create quality content that is easy for others to digest. I have learned so much about my own explanations and writing style than anything else!

What also helps is to:

  1. keep away from Steemit for some days, and start with fresh energy
  2. be persistent; over time your follow base will grow and with that the view/vote/reward count
  3. be original in your posts; even when posting something non original - Like I do with music, I provide added value to the music, ie not just forward the music in a link but add something to it (you can always check my music posts) - When posting some news event, dont just forward the link but make your own post about that event, maybe taking information from multiple sources, add your own standpoint to it, or your ideas
  4. start commenting a lot with quality comments; that will grow your follow base, at least it did/does with me, and may even give you some nice rewards on your comments; I do from time to time get really interesting rewards on comments and that takes the negative feelings away from low view/vote/reward counts on my own original posts.

@edje Thank you very Much for that advices! I think here in steemit the focus is on beeing original! I liked the 4th point i´ll try to do that.

It´s important to not good to pretent that you are interested in something. You really have to be interested and make valuable comments!

You really have to be interested and make valuable comments!

Absolutely! I generally take some time for my comments, add value to to poster, or even to other comments. That helps for sure to get noticed and get not only the poster to upvote but also others.

Point 1 helped with me as well. Recently enjoyed 2 times a long weekend completely away from Steemit. That helped to find the fresh new positive balanced energy again to continue at Steemit. I was so frustrated about the unfairness here, I wanted to throw the ball. But now, I decided to continue and so far so good. Regardless of the unfairness, there are a whole bunch of good and interesting people here, so that helps as well to not turn my back.
