Been wondering about why your post can't reach the average of $44?
It is because those rewards are going to pay '40%' on the money of folks that delegate it to the gangs.
Don't believe me?
Ask @steemvoter, it was their comment that clued me in.
Don't get me wrong, I like @steemvoter, if I was going away for an extended period I would pay the 3sbd to turn mine back on, but @minnowbooster, and it's cohorts, are bad for everybody, except the gang members in charge of them.
We have been through this before.
The large stakeholders have such a mathematical advantage that when they use all their voting power, or delegate it so that somebody else can use it, everybody else's impact on the reward pool is diminished in proportion.
I'm afraid that the only fix to this is for those with this power not to use it.
Otherwise, the minnows will continue to starve and the little investors won't invest.
Better that you just vote with that in mind, when you have time to do it, imo.
I called the delegation issue out as a problem when it was announced with the hardfork, I said it would just lead to the institutionalizing of @curie, an admitted problem at the time.
Don't see them so publicly now, huh?
I figure they are still going, and it goes a long ways to explaining how gov't stays in place on the backs of their dupes, if you ask me.
Now we got @minnowbooster taking their place publicly, but operating in the same space.
'Give us your votes and we will decide who gets rewards.'
Hardly a decentralizing act, again, if you ask me.
Think for yourself, please.
Now, that being said, I can't remember who put out the delegation tool, but I will know shortly.
@spaminator is deserving of some delegation.
Nobody wants to downvote, or flag, content because they are scared of losing what little rewards they are getting.
It is to the point that doing nothing now will lead us all to lose a lot, the richer you are the more you will feel it.
If you like cheetah, and the work she does, then we need to get the spaminator out there making sure that spamming is not profitable.
That takes sp to keep the downvotes painful at low vote weights.
Just as soon as I get that tool chased down, I'm giving 100sp.
@jesta has Vessel, but I can't put programs on this computer, so if you know of a plug and play way for me to delegate sp I would show my appreciation for you cluing me in.
If you are delegating sp to the gangs, please stop.
Have a perfectly peaceful day.
Keep working, stop paying. No war, but the class war!!
Viva! Tradeqwik, the exchange that pays you!
How to win in court for far less!!
Good post. Much of it was over my head presently, but not the part about the boosting service. I have never used one, and now i will seriously reconsider whether i learn how or not. I really love steemit and want it to succeed, but i am new and it's all fairly complicated. I would guess that many people are abusing and exploiting for their own profit. Well screw them! The cream always rises to the top.
Yeah, it is looking to me that we, as a community, need to just vote what we got when we can rather than ganging up for rewards.
I hope you stick it out, when @spaminator gets going, and some of the mining of the reward pool is curtailed, we can make life changing money here.
Good content and don't spend what you don't have -- i mean SHEESH! that's the whole frickin' point of the crypto experiment...
Think i'm going to stick with old school and just lay down the good stories -- speaking of which, please come and check out some of my stories... we are of the same ilk ;)
I do everything by myself. I have never joined anthing since I started here a year ago. This is social media. What is social about automatic votes?
Ah, but it is Steemit, and life changing amounts of money are on the table.
I got nothing against steemvoter, I miss having a 'read first' list compiled by their bot, but now I connect more with the folks that I vote.
Thanks for the support!
At this point, I'd be happy to see 44 cents let alone $44. The biggest struggle is that I have 250+ "followers" who neither read my posts nor acknowledge my existence. Not that I am here to make my fortune nor do I provide the greatest content. But, I am engaged daily and comment frequently.
As long as I find it entertaining, I'll stick around. Until it's not.
@abit and @smooth pulled us out of the frying pan last time, maybe they will do it again.
Followers is not an effective means, nor metric.
Just got to plug along beating your drum and see what falls out of the trees.
No sooner than my posting this comment, bang, $60+ post. Go figure.
They do like to double down,...
The great mystery of Steemit!
It's an enigma wrapped in a conundrum masked by poor communications, if you ask me.
But, you gotta love it, it is delivering on it's promise to pay us to blog.
The Vegas model...win just enough to keep coming back.
It would be insidious if we weren't actually making money.
Man has steemit changed in the months I was offline...
Crowd murmur is certainly louder,....
Yet, people still remain blind to this reality. The same rich are getting richer applies. Good news we can now change the cover photo! lol. I hope you get to read my latest post. Another steemit matter, I'm trying to get away from that topic, but guilty pleasure...
It must be difficult to be an anarchist - there's always a system and it always seems to be against the anarchist. If it's not the government then it's a mathematical equation.
I guess if you're a hammer then everything looks like a nail.
I wonder though - why an anarchist would try to actively participate in something that is built on a system that they have no control over and have no ability to change.
Some days I wish I hadn't read all them books.
Life would be so much easier if I could just take a nap.
I'd be interested in seeing that.
Rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.
