@gbenga's advice; Minnows Honour The Dolphins And Whales, For This Is The First Commandment With A Steemit Blessing
Every religion has its own commandment in which they abide with, just as the Christians have their commandments.
Minnows Honour The Dolphins And Whales, For This Is The First Commandment With A Steemit Blessing
Well, this commandment isn't known by many users but I believe knowing it would be of great help to us all.
Every newbie and minnow on steemit want to grow, we want to become a big fish if not a dolphin or a whale, we want to get the attention of steemians with high steem power. The surprising thing about it is that most of us do not do the right thing.
WHO ARE MINNOWS, DOLPHINS AND WHALES ON STEEMIT
I would be explaining these categories based on steem power and how much your vote can earn a user on 100% voting power
MINNOW
Minnows are steemians who are new to the community and do not have high steem power. Minnows are the largest in terms of population in the community. From my findings, I discovered that most minnows sign up when they heard about the free money reward. Some minnow invest in the community a few Dollars ($) so they can get a little rise in their voting and make their money back.
Minnows always give their votes to steemians so they can also get little curation reward so at to boost their steem power little by little.
DOLPHINS
These steemians have a very decent steem power to make you feel blessed. They have either invested their rewards by powering up, or they have invested a reasonable amount of money into the community.
The Dolphins are the bridge between the minnows and the whales. These steemians have invested their time, money and expertise to the community compared to the minnows.
WHALES
Steem whales are equivalent to steem gods. They are Steemian who have 100,000+ of Steem power. When a whale gives you an upvote, you would go for a thanksgiving. They can make things that are not become what they want.
Whales on steemit are the biggest contributors and earners. They have and are still investing large amount of money, time and energy to keep the community growing. Most whales do not even write post, they just curate.
WHY YOU SHOULD HONOR THEM
Minnows you are very little and your bones are very soft, if you would love to grow hale and healthy, you must honour the minnows and whales for this is the steemit commandment with a blessing. Never create a war between yourself and a whale, never be rude to them. Instead of being rude, why not make them your friends by giving nice comments on their post, having pleasant chat with them, and taking them as your mentors and your role model.
NEVER GET INTO A WAR WITH A WHALE OR DOLPHIN
Most minnows always complain about a whales attitude or how they do not vote them regularly. Steemit is a community of so many people, and the whales are so busy trying to build to the community so most times they might not be able to vote.
If you (Minnow) you feel you don't like a thing about a dolphin or a whale, you can say it calmly instead of getting into a fight with them. They are powerful i must tell you. They can make your day beautiful and make it a living hell when you are rude of you get on their bad list.
@gbenga, I like this piece of advice that you are giving to the newbies. Just hope that they will pay heed to it. As one who have invested so much of my time, money, talents, I understand what it is like and really get angry when redfish/minnows become rude. Honestly, if I were to be the type that flag people, I would have flagged a few newbies or if I don't have the reputation to, report the matter to fellow #dolphins to flag . Anyway, for the fact that I've been a victim before, I chose not to. That said, the blessing of a whale , orca or dolphin is enough to go do thanksgiving. One more thing, the category of steemians changed from 3 to 5 two months ago. There are now 5 classes according to Witness @arcange in @steemitboard, ranging from redfish to whales. Check out update 6 here, https://steemit.com/steemitboard/@arcange/steemitboard-update-6 . Steem on!
Thanks a lot @maryfavour for the contribution and explanation, I'm really glad that you have enlightened me as well as other minnows on this. Thanks for your support
You are most welcome, @gbenga. Anytime!
