I DID IT!
Dolphin Status Achieved!!
Earlier this year I made a goal. That goal was to get to 5000SP by the end of the year. This goal was to be achieved only through the rewards made from upvotes on my posts, and I worked really hard to get to this point. To date I have never powered down, and other than sending a few SBD's to an exchange to create a crypto-portfolio with, I have reinvested all almost all of my earnings back into the fold by powering up. Why? Because I really believe in this whole project!
I was on track to reach my goal by the end of the year, but thanks to the massive spike in SBD's I was able to meet my goal of 5000SP early!
And in a fitting turn of events, @jacobtothe visited my house tonight for our weekly game night bearing a game that he and I helped fund through a Kickstarter campaign. The game is called Unstable Unicorns, which is probably awesome in and of itself, but it was this little stuffed narwhal that came with the game bundle that really did wonders for my new acquirement joy feelers.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported me over the last thirteen months, I appreciate you all more than words can express, and I am now going to set a new goal and keep on typing on!

Great job @generikat. I know from experience that it is difficult to keep it all in the system. I have a personal goal of 1500SP by my birthday of July 6th. Aside from spending a little Steem and SBD testing out what the different Bots can do for me I too have powered up all of my earnings as well.

What a grand accomplishment my friend, good show, really good show. I I know how hard you work at this Steemit thing, so it is very nice to see you being well rewarded. The sky is the limit, and now I can say I know a full-fledged dolphin...Wowser. I'm trying to get there myself, got a ways to go, but time goes by fast when you're having fun on here, which I always do.
Not only are you moving up in the system, but you also have a Narwhal. I have always been enamoured of these odd little unicorns of the deep. (I have a Opossadiller on my computer to keep me company, but she is not as cute as your little blue doober.)

When I was a kid I would ride with dad to work and sit on top of a sandstone mountain, thousands of feet above sea level in the Wrangell St. Elias foothills and watch pods of Narwhals migrate (along with Belugas, Humpbacks, and Great White Sharks). The Narwhals were always my favorite, and that was probably because of my mythical horse creature obsession, for I was either a unicorn or pegasus every day until I was at least twelve.
Um, I need to totally see that Opossodiller, is that like a possum/armadillo F1 hybrid? Cause that sounds amazington!!
And now I must go roll out, bake, and decorate all of the cookie dough that I made last night. A Christmas party is on the books for tonight, and the children and I are going to have a blast decorating our food offering today! Hope you have the most fantabulous Sunday, like ever!!

You had more sense than I did. I never powered down but for most of my time I had taken the 50/50 option on my posts and I took out the 50% instead of powering it all up. Now I regret it, but at the time it felt like the most prudent option. I have been recently powering up 100%

I always take the 50/50 payout, and let my SBD's stack up until the exchange rate on the open market is favorable for purchasing liquid steem, then I power up. Although, I have to admit, it was rather nice to exchange a pile of the SBD's when the price was mooning. This Kat was groovin that night 😜
And I am more than certain you have a ton of sense, I mean, you make posts about going to various places of business, and they are beyond incredibly interesting! I mean it!!

I really have no idea how the game works. I suppose it is mythological and cutthroat in nature. I shall be opening it shortly to find out the details. And for some reason your reaction to Pointdexter gave me no small amount of additional soul-warming glee!
