I noticed notifications only intermittently working since - late last week.
Best way around it is to use eSteem on a mobile. eSteem Mobile.

I am using it too But that also has some issues. Which I already reported,

Yeah - It's hanging whenever it tried to refresh a feed. I know. Reported it, too to @good-karma.
