The problem with political parties is that their connection to the public is all smoke and mirrors. Representatives spout politic rhetoric that is meant for uninformed people to digest. It just boils down to a popularity contest of who will run the nation. How is it ethical to be voted into power over people without full transparency of what you will actually do once in power (forgetting the argument of if government is ethical).
