This is a great post -- I think many people that are not familiar with cryptocurrencies are really afraid that "it is all one big scam". This post makes it clear that getting behind any one cryptocurrency has its risks (e.g. due to abandonment or failure), but that those risks don't make it a scam. While I agree that Steem should not be seen as a sound financial investment, I think that it is worth investing our time to help Steem... well, pick up steam. This is a revolutionary platform that has great potential.
Exactly. A lot of people want to make strong opinion pieces, so they argue either "it's all a scam" or "it's going to takeover the universe". The truth is somewhere in-between. There is tremendous promise but also tremendous risk.
