But only those with power will change things and those in power will provide the most resistance to change as change naturally erodes structures that keep certain individuals in power.

You end up with a system that mimics real world governments, where little gets done, a lot of potential is wasted, and you develop different classes and groups where inequality funnels the power and influence from the weak to the strong.

Massive amounts of development have occurred on Steem, yet none of it has gotten to benefit the minnows. All of it is to the benefit of the powerful and only serves to make them more wealthy and powerful.

And the fractured minnow class underneath really can't do anything about it. So people will continue to lose faith, and the platform weakens.
