RE: Introducing dlike - Steem App for Webmasters and Social Geeks to Share and Get Rewarded

in #steemit6 years ago

dtube dlive dlike dwhatever dhow dboring dthis dis ;-)

What can be controversial is that such platform can promote low effort content. That shouldn't be a thing as long it will not be used as an excuse for reward pool ripping (which can be done regardless of a content, it's just more visible).

despite that, good luck with your project!

dhow dboring dthis dis

I do notice a lot of d-this and d-that popping up, but I think it's kind of endearing personally. It reminds me of the early days of the commercial Internet! Everything was eThis and eThat. It makes me sort of nostalgic for the present; is that a thing?

I suppose what I mean is: I think that someday we will be looking back fondly on all these d-things.

low effort content

I'm skeptical about these sorts of projects, but I believe that the platform will decide what is acceptable. It would sadden me to see actual content creators earning less because we're all sharing links now. I know it's a controversial topic, but personally, whether it was the original intent or not... I like the fact that we've built up an expectation of original, high-effort content on this platform.

I think it would be a good gesture for @dlike to automatically limit post payout to $1.00 or something reasonable on posts made through their app, by setting the maximum accepted payout value. This would show good faith and help to gain the trust of the Steem community.

It does have a few flaws. Popularity shouldnt be based on followers but rather on organic support. Thats a much more complex thing to pull off then just basing a listing on follower number.
Take the guy that has 4 posts right now in top trending with bots and 4000 Followers.

But a shift in top exposed authors needs to happen. This might not be it, but the idea is there.

Its not only based on followers, rather it is calculated by reputation x percentage of vote x number of followers (will actually be followers_vest)

Time will tell, if we need to make it even more strict to avoid spammers!

It can be but important is, it will solve the most lacking feature of steem "link sharing" which is available on all major social media sites. dlike gives users this opportunity to make steem stand big in competition with others. Few of other apps on steem where users only share their snaps can have same issue but proper terms and conditions can solve such issues.

To me its time to make our community great and take steem to the heights which it deserves as the best social media site.

Thanks for well wishes!

Is this a place where we can share posts from our own websites? That would be a great feature for me. I have 400+ pieces of evergreen content on weight loss and health issues. I share them in steemit posts but those fade fast.

Yes this app is mainly focused for those webmasters who want to gain popularity and traffic from next big social media site steem and at the same time they will enjoy the fruits of monetization for good content sharing.

We will soon have browser extension to make it even easier for webmasters to share their content.

Hello dear,how are you doing.

Just another project that brings no value to Steem.

What was dlike created for? A desperate attempt to get a delegation from Sir Ned.

They copied some features from projects that already have Sir Ned´s delegations like dtube, steemhunt, etc.

Interphase looks terrible btw.

Nice try!

Criticism is always good for betterment!

criticism is the engine that drives innovation

Although trolling misses the mark of being useful. You got my upvote for this project
