Idea to Beat ETC in the Final Round of BTCC Poll

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

It's been a little more than 6 days of battling for 1st place against ETC, DOGE, and XMR. From yesterday 'til a few hours ago, we've seen STEEM go past ETC for the first place only to be ran over again, instantly getting us back to 2nd.

Battle of the Bots

There's only one reason for this. They've been battling through BOTS.

Well I think we've been using them too but the thing is that we didn't start it and we just want to win. To add to that, Bobby Lee didn't make any rules.

But since ETC wants to win this in that way, then it is just right that we do so too.

The Idea

So the idea is to use so many bots during the last minutes to topple ETC down.
Of course people, especially Bobby Lee will suspect that but how about we justify this by battling at a different style. How about we invite Bobby Lee over to Steemit and count the number of unique comments that he will receive.

These comments will be coming from the heart so I think they'll all be unique. We can share our personal experiences or market STEEM to Bobby by stating the facts one by one. We can also share our personal thoughts. That will prove the amount of real humans interested in the cryptocurrency.

This is how ETC will lose from us. If we carefully search for their community presence, it seems that we have so much more:

If ETC chooses Twitter as their choice of gathering comments, this is probably what they will get:

For Steemit, I estimate at least 200 replies based from our trending posts. Bobby Lee will obviously trend since that's been one of our most tackled topics here in Steemit the past few weeks.

Hahaha! This is funny XD

thank you for your post.

You're welcome. And thank you for your reply, hien-tran :)

I talked to Bobby Lee and explained him Steemit last monday at #Consensus trying to convince him Steem is way more than yet another cryptocurrency (how I see ETC atm). Unfortunately he was not bribeable :) And I also told him most probably people can just vote with bots. I thought about buying a lot of twitter votes yesterday but it seems not really fair to win that way.

Let's hope for the best!

BTW maybe add a link to the tweet in your post?

Sure roelandp. I have now updated the post.

You're awesome for meeting him in person. :D And here I am replying a post from the host of the very first Steemfest :)

I checked awhile ago and I learned that we lost.
But I still think that we won, though.

I speculate that in the future it will be the big exchanges that will come to us and not the other way around. To think that Steemit (along with the other apps) is still on beta and it already has this kind of power from the community, it's fantastic.

You got it roelandp. STEEM is more than just another cryptocurrency.

Fantastic idea. However, winning the poll should be our first preference, isn't it?

There's only one reason for this. They've been battling through BOTS.

I wish we can win with our community power.

True, sidwrites. Winning the poll is our first interest that's why I thought that we needed to have a large scale voting using bots. ETC was doing it, anyway. But when Bobby says that something fishy happened, we could suggest what I've written in the last part 'cos that's where the power of our community truly shines.

That is a brilliant idea! Resteemed!

Thanks uwelang :)

Oh, wow. I didn't expect this amount of payout.
Thank you guys. You're all so kind.

Brought up a couple good plans of action for the battle at hand. You deserve it!

Thanks circuitshark! :) I'm in it to win it.

UPVOTED for more visibility. :)

Also following you!

Thanks for upvoting me sidwrites! :) I'm also following you now.
