I dont understand the internal mechanics of the reward pool so not sure on how it is gaming. Just wondering why they are allowing it to go on if it is damaging to the platform. Btw thanks for serving, ex Marine Infantry here.

The definition of curation is sufficient.
Why who is allowing it to go on?
There is no central controlling authority.
Semper Fi, Brother. Allowing the Bots to go on gaming the system I mean. Could the Whales with loads of Steempower not put the bots out of commission. Also, the people that built the platform, the developers are not able to police it? I am trying to get a better grasp of blockchain technology so pardon my ignorance, I have a lot of learning to do.
It is not the bots gaming the system, it is those who are buying the votes, and the whales operating the bots.
It's vote buying, or anti-curation.

Thank you for standing up for those of us being ignored by booster, man. I don’t see it as gaming a system when the system allows you to pay it as much SBD as you want to "promote"except it doesn’t actually get you noticed . I tried multiple times and the bots are the only ones that get content noticed by new users. And I was a green side corpsman for two USMC infantry deployments so oo-rah devildog.
