Steemit: The Greatest Public Awareness Campaign for Cryptocurrencies!

Steemit, as a social media platform, has the potential to be the farthest-reaching public awareness campaign for the use of cryptocurrencies.

My reasoning? Since joining Steemit just over a week ago, I've gotten 8 of my friends to join up as well, and only 1 out of the 8 have previous experience with cryptocurrencies. For every average person who joins Steemit, they must mildly learn how blockchains and cryptocurrencies work in order to cash out their SBD.

I think Steemit could be one of the greatest things to happen to the cryptocoin landscape: public involvement.
