What's happening to open ledger. It's user count has tanked from 120 to 18 and there are lots of things that appear to be not working. What's up? Who is working on this platform?

Ronnie from ccedk is running openledger. Could you be more specific about what is not working and how are you seeing the user #s you mentioned? Only thing i can think you are refering too is the users online in the chat?? Please let me know interested to know your findings. I have been using it a lot in the last few days.

It is indicative of volume of users that are online and trading. So If you logged into open-ledger then this count goes up I think. I've never seen it this low before. Also peerplays is taken off from the front page as trade able asset. It's also running bit slow, charts don't make much sense. They are doing some upgrades to it and few things like this is falling through the cracks.

They experimented with custom gui, some things were good but some not. I Didn't saw those modifications in bitshares official repos. Probably someone finally noticed them that new chart is not useful at all, sot they were forced to revert changes. I don't know who is working with Openledger GUI, but he/she is going in good direction. Second thing, their api server is not enough for growing load. If you following #bitshares tag and bitsharestalk.org, you should be aware that 2 new api servers provided by btsabc and transwiser are ready to go. Changes are already merged:

Most time when they pushing changes i must reload page with ctrl+r in my browser.
Trollbox never worked good - it's a p2p chat. Users online = peers connected to you, so you can write with them. This leads to funny things. I have disabled it long time ago.
A lot of trading going on because BTC moves.
Cryptofresh is down :).
Maybe Ddos, i don't know.
To improve your experience and security i suggest using light-client which has the same functionality.

I've never seen number of users available for chat drop below 80. Now it's at 18. Something is definately wrong with the platform.

Hard to argue with that.
