I'm Here For The Community

I fell in love with Steem / Steemit because of the community, not because it paid, that's just a side effect of building this platform imo.
This all changed when you know who bought Steemit, and then decided he owned the Steem blockchain, as well as the community the surrounded it. Then what followed, was something that made me love this community even more than I thought possible! We stood up together, fought for what we thought was right, then when the battle seemed to be a stalemate, we transformed like a phoenix to fly free on our own path. Now I want to avoid using Steem so as not to support Steemit or who owns it, with any of my activity, But I also want to make sure everyone I know and loves on Steem moves over to that new thing I can't say without being silenced or robbed.

Dream Community

One realization that I always come back to throughout my life, is that the structure of the economy, as well as the ruling system, influence the behaviour of those that function in them. In some it's just the way things are, so if the system isn't fair, they don't play fair. Others are affected by rejecting it, by becoming an outcast on the fringes of society, or they just medicate themselves to dull the way it makes them feel, but it's all a result of the environment we live in.
So my dream community is one that has found a way to incentivize actions that have value, not in the monetary sense, but in the value of just doing the right thing for the right reasons. Of course some might say that is what the free market does already, but it just takes a little bit of research to see our market is manipulated, not free. So far I think the fork of Steem that I cannot name here, is the best example we have of such a free market.

That Thing Bees Live In, Is A Free Market

I think the only thing more free is the barter system, as it basically exists in nature. Next is that fork I can't name. The reason being is that it's values are set by the community, which is much better than being set by one central figure, or company. So rather than gaming the system to gain value for ourselves, we've developed in to a system where all work together to improve value for the whole, which intern increases the value we get out of it. The more we improve the system, the more it creates a feedback loop of positive reinforcement.
