Maybe you know some Brazilian inventions, like airplane or the "Havaianas". But surely you have never heard of the "electric shower", but today I will show you this very curious Brazilian involution.

The electric shower was invented in Brazil and is rare in other countries. The most common in the rest of the world is to see two valves, one for hot water and the other for cold water, the heating being done by piped gas. At the time of the invention, in the 1930s, piped gas practically did not exist in Brazil, and to this day only a small part of the population has access to it.

Of quite simple design, the electric shower was constituted of a element of heating (resistor), called "resistancia" in Brazil; made of a spiral wire composed of metals with high melting point, such as nickel, chromium or an alloy of two metals, which when heated, immediately heats the water, in addition to the spreader with numerous holes, always resembling the traditional showers.
