So, a treasury, like Dash. If this were implemented, I don't think it's a good idea to just hand it directly over to Steemit, Inc. I think it'd be better to just allocate it to witnesses so they can approve worker projects, similar to how BitShares does it.

yes, while I think ongoing support of the development team is crucial as it confers some of the benefits of a centralized development team (efficiency, power, resources) with a decentralized currency, I think having a separate fund for individual community projects is still viable.

Honestly using the 15% anywhere else or even reducing inflation by 15% would be better than where it's at right now

I totally agree. Centralization goes 100% against freedom and everything that is right in this world.

Well, there are cases for centralization in certain situations. But I get your meaning.
