I have absolutely no idea how this would actually work, but I agree that it might make sense to have vote weights be subjective somehow. Steemit seems to have a "stories I will like" section already; not sure how it generates that.

I would also love it if instead of being paid with objective money, people on here got paid with subjective money. Do you post great articles on knitting that knitters love (and everyone else ignores)? Then you get currency that knitters value (for some reason).

This is actually interesting, but just stretch it to the individual level - not to the labeled group level - this way you get a graph where everybody can exchange with others using subjective currency even using multiple people hop as exchanges! Anyway for now we need to build the graph and then will come the currency, steem is a good step forward anyway, even if really improvable!
