Tell me three ways to get the most value out of Steemit...

in #steemit7 years ago

It took me a long time to get the most out of Twitter and Reddit. I still don't get anything valuable from Snapchat.

I'm a little daft.

What are the top three things to help me make the most of Steemit? The Quick Start Guide is sort of boring and long.

Could be conceptual, "Think of Steemit like X, but with Y difference"

Or tactical, "Every day check X, then do Y"

Or whatever other way you'd help someone "get it" and gain from it ASAP.

Thanks!

I think the first mindset for success on steemit is to be greatful you just found it and forget about how much you will are earning right now and think about the future. Contribute to the community by involving other authors. This will help you build followings with authors who share similar ideas. Also read trending posts and upvote them. Dont forget to welcome newbies to the platform too. They are equally important as the whales. Always read over the how to get started, you might learn a thing or two each time. Join the discord team and make friends also from there. I think these are the things i keel

I see steemit as offering the best aspects of bitcoin, and of facebook.
I'm not here for now, though. It's absolutely not worth my time to spend 3 hours on a post, only to watch it make $20 or $30 over the next week.
I could make a lot more by working overtime at my regular job.
It's also not worth planting an apple tree in your backyard.
So much easier to just pick up a bag of apples at the shop;
You don't plant trees, kick the saplings a few times, and then stop watering them.
Every post, I pick up another 20 or 30 dollars, but I also pick up another 20 or 30 followers; while the site is growing at 5000/day.
How many followers will I add each day when the site is adding 50,000 users a day, or 500,000 users a day?
