RE: Steemit Dtube Bitchute and the Youtube Purge - Will They Stand for Free Speech?

in #steemit7 years ago

At the moment, it seems so... but I came across some David Hogg posts here on Steemit that were snuffed out by a single whale vote. Luckily you can still see the information and I guess that's good enough. It can't be silenced. Although authors won't make money from it, we didn't make money on Google Plus or Facebook posts either so it probably doesn't matter. Just visit a particular user's page to see all their content, regardless if it was flagged. It will be available to view no matter what. So yes, I do believe Steemit is better at resisting censorship than anything else atm..

They certainly are for the moment. I'm just worried that they'll give in when pressure is applied. The one saving grace of the platform is that is add free so there's hope!
