Scientists discover 14 new species of animals

In our wonderful world there are millions of different types of animals and creatures that are rare and live hidden. Each year, scientists discover dozens of new animals they had never seen before. Some of them are beautiful, captivating and simply fun to watch. There is very little information about most of these newly discovered animals because researchers have not yet had time to follow their habits, but it is safe to imagine that once this happens, we will discover a lot of fascinating information.

Until then, we invite you to observe these images of 14 unknown animals and discover a new world of wonderful creatures that you have never seen before.

*1. The striped tenrec from the lowlands of Madagascar is a small mammalian porcupine that finds food by sticking its nose into the ground.

*2. The flying lemur Sunda lives in East Asia and is not exactly capable of flying, but slides from tree to tree to find food and escape from predators.

*3. The lilac-tailed male that lives in Africa spends its mating season flying in the sky and going down again while whistling a quite unique call.

*5. The back of the turtle Mata Mata, a solitary species of turtle family that lives in rivers, algae and South American green plants to camouflage themselves.

*6. The "Sea Pen" is a sea creature that anchors its roots at the bottom of the ocean and feeds on small organisms.

*7. It is not a rabbit, it is a Patagonian mara that is generally found in Argentina and South America. The Mara is a large rodent and feeds mainly on herbs, fruits and vegetables.

*8. Do not get confused, it is not a hummingbird, but a species of small-medium-sized moth called hawk moth and is active during the day and night.

*9. The frog mouth of Sri Lanka is a kind of bird with a frog mouth. It belongs to the family of Podargidae that is active mainly at night, but this variety is also active during the day.

*10. The umbrella bird with long waters lives in Colombia and Ecuador. The males have a long feathered feather on the neck that keeps it dry and inflates to impress the females during the mating season.

*11. The Dugong are marine mammals and are the third largest animal in size after whales.

*12. This interesting animal is called Aye-aye and is a nocturnal lemur found in Madagascar. For years this species was considered an extinct animal until the Aye-aye was seen again in 1961.

*13. It is known that the Asian giant soft-shelled turtles hide at the bottom of the lakes and stay still to hunt their prey.

*14. The giraffe - gazelle or Gerenuk, a type of deer that lives in East Africa. Unlike other animals of this type, it can eat both soil and trees. The long neck of the creature gives it its name.
