How Steemit Bridged Blockchains And Social Media

in #steemit7 years ago

Steemit is claimed to be the backbone of social entity rewarding people for their creative thoughts, passionate yet personal posts and so forth...

Most of us love having followers because we feel the need to have the approval of others but their are some of us who share with whoever listens because our minds can't find the storage room to keep it within, so we divulge. And what better place to do so than here.

I came across an article from coindesk.com that stated the following.

"The brain-child of Daniel Larimer, founder of BitShares, and Ned Scott, a former financial analyst, Steemit aims to provide a place for individuals to create content, promote the content they believe is good and comment on stories — all while earning money".

But is steemit just a site for some us to make some quick cash ? Of course, it can potentially lead to good earnings but the beautiful thing about the site besides being rewarded is the fact that it allows you a bigger platform to express, create, or share anything with a bigger audience to receive all the info.

The link below has a very easy simple way of explaining the works of it all.

I really like the coindesk.com information about what is Steemit and its relation to its creators. thank you for sharing, I'll do the same. Namaste :)

Greetings @joseph Do you think Steemit has what it takes to be one of the top 10 global social media platforms?

We do! Are you willing to help us do what it takes to fix steemits vulernabilities so we can bring this platform to the mainstream?

I represent an media alliance with over 10 million followers. We see that steemit needs a few small, but very important changes to make it to the next level.

Hi, you have written on @eric-boucher post... Thanks for doing so!

To answer your questions, yes I do believe that Steemit.com has what it takes to become one of the top 10 global social media platform.

First of all, which one offers financial reward for blogging, trading information or posting advertisement or entertainment? This alone, with the help of the P2P blockchain system it is built on and the Graphene architecture, not much comes closer to it.

Conviviality is coming along slowly but surely. If we were to accelerate the rate at which people sign in, we'd be having a lot more trouble right now. By keeping the faucet open and slowly increasing, we allow for development to occur in proper time. Though the space isn't yet on conviviality levels seen on such sites as Facebook or the such, it is noticeably growing in ease. We need more of this so every single person coming on from the street without any knowledge about some of the technocratic vocabulary found here.

On that specific topic, if there were more people working on a hastier acquisition of decent people to our platform, we would gain in quality content without the hassles of having people simply coming onto the platform to troll around or spam their way around. This would by the same token increase our quality as a whole.

There is one matter that is touchy and would help us all: A powerful method of limitation for the dispersion of abusive content. Building up a mechanism that would measure the dispersion around a person who abuses others. This would allow for a group of moderator to allow for the flagging of an account, instead of the flagging of an article. Thus, this mechanism would reduce the power that this person has to harass others, even if this person has a very powerful amount of Steem Power and, often by the same token, a high reputation and power to eradicate the presence of multiple minnows or dolphins, even the ones who legitimately post quality non-abusive intelligent content... It would be very powerful for us all to find ourselves in a virtual environment where
bullies can't last.

To add up to this, a few little video explaining in a live situation the processes necessary to make every steps of the way, one step at a time, What button to push, what they mean and what they entail. We already have a table of content that is readily available for the newcomers to tackle in a reading form but, nowadays, we would all gain by having this process played on a video beside the main Steemit screen to deal with things in situ, right there and then. It would automatically make this process swift, user friendly and everyone would gain in strategies and value gathering more and more Steem on the way.

This last explanatory part would include definition of terms while exposing them for what they do or can do in the video as well thus clarifying the understanding of the concepts which make this platform so powerful and inherently filled with monumental potential.

So, to end this diatribe, I want to thank you for this great opportunity to share with you on a subject that has been close to my heart for almost a year and a half already. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Indeed, it's very useful to learn more things about this website we all love.

Hey aren't you getting paid as a witness, and you seem to be posting a lot and powering down, you not believing in the platform anymore. Seems like you are cashing out a lot.

Interesting article. Hopefully Steemit can weather these DDOS storms and get back on track.

This site has become nothing more than a farm of bots.

all it takes for evil to thrive is for good men to do nothing.

We're all responsible by and large for this. Supposedly bots should be down voted to oblivion by everyone to to make it as hard as possible for farmers to maintain bot farms. At least that is what we as users can do but unfortunately, myself included.. Not much people are doing this.

While services such as steemconnect and anon-steem exists to allow anonymous sign ups possible. There is reason to believe that it is steemit.com that is the source of all these bits signing up for free with impunity.

Something has got to be done.

I agree but lately the site has been so slow that it actually impeded social interaction - even voting for or rewarding a post....So, we need to keep pressing for a better interface - the new one is pretty, but underneath are the same old problems, even worse now than a few months ago. We all want to be so damn positive on here but not to the extent that we don't confront the basic problem that's preventing the very virtues you're extolling

I find usesteem.com
It works fine and is exactly the same.

Hey, I just checked it out - it's better than Busy.org - it has a preview pane for posting, but I know some of these alternative sites take a cut of your rewards when you post. Is that the case with this site?

Check my original post where you can ask the author.

usesteem.com is not taking any beneficiaries. It really is just a site I put together so I don't have to do things 5 times and pull my hair out. I opened it up for a few friends and somehow word got out.

It is a mirror of the steemit.com codebase called Condenser, I'm considering making some changes if I keep running. I cannot guarantee it will remain open forever as I had no plans to do this but it was quicker to set one up than it was to actually make a post one day and here we are.

well, I'm impressed. Thank you. I had a nightmare posting on Busy .org but it seems all the big fish like it. I don't know why :)

Iam find another side.It is work awesome.

Hey Guys, I'm Form Bangladesh. i need some followers, please follow me. And Help Me how can i Do work for steemit....please Follow me.

Steemit has doing better.

Interesting... in a sense, the article is a neat retrospective view of Steemit in its idealistic sense... which we can compare to how things are actually unfolding, some 15 months later. Thanks for sharing!

Steemit can be said to be the dream of everyone addicted to social networks, as it gives them the excuse that in Steemit they do not simply waste time, because they are "making money".
Although from the speculative to the reality there is a lot to go through, since the curaration by means of votes, in something practically useless for new users or that do not invest more than 1000 dollars to buy steem power, and the same thing happens with the creation of contents and the publication of comments, or invest a strong start sum or have to wait until several months to start earning a significant amount of Steem for every publication made.

Thanks for sharing @joseph
