Of course it's true! Look at a posts/blogs about this and of course get info from Google. Check out Bitcoin posts,news and info going back to the begining of it all. There is the original shock value that's really high so people buy into it LITERALLY. Then it has a cooling off period where people get scared and use dwindles so does cost as people freak about the solidity "will this last?" Then (as steem will) people across the world will see "it's still there and getting stable" so use grows again as people gain trust in the idea/product so follow the masses.
