New Steemit-like competitor to launch Q3 2017. Please UPVOTE if you think this important news for the community
See the detailed post I published on steemit yesterday about this new competitor to the steemit blog.
I'm a seasoned technology sector strategy analyst but fairly new to blogging and am not sure why I am not getting any voting power on my up votes when I'm getting such good feedback to the posts. So this time I'm trying to republish the post for the attention of the Steemit category. ( Yesterday perhaps I made a mistake by posting it under bitcoin? The fact is skycoin is disruptive to the entire internet so I wasn't sure where to put it. But it should be of interest to steemit fans that skycoin is also launching a steemit like product later this year).

Skynet starts with crypto x). More seriously, I will follow you because I am a fan of crypto and your news is very interesting. I didn't know that project. In any case I think Steemit will keep the monopoly for a long time.
Thanks. @izbling First mover advantage counts for a lot and steemit is growing fast. But until it gets to 5m and then100m users it is still a small fish. This exponential growth could happen very quickly though. One of the things the skycoin blog version will apparently do is give the feed prioritisation control to the user. It remains to be seen what exactly that means but potentially it means that if steemit gives more power to users than facebook this might give yet more power to users than even steemit does. Not enough information to tell at this stage - I'm just keeping a watching brief on it.
