The what to do is pretty simple:
- Remove any STEEM you have from exchanges, back to the chain. This is also true of every crypto. If it's on an "exchange" then all you actually own is an IOU.
- Make sure you're voting for witnesses, or at least proxying your vote to someone who is staying on top of this stuff.
I don't know if there's enough steem power in the community to outvote the exchanges and the steem stake... curious to the numbers. But yes, I agree.
The exchanges are already backpedaling.
