Minneapolis Steemit community, represent!

in #steemit7 years ago

Hey, Steemit! How are you?! It’s been a ridiculously active day. I’d planned on spending a solid 8 - 10 hour block editing at @caffetto coffee shop, then feel down a rabbit hole of finishing this long awaited Minneapolis Steemit video, which is what I’m pleased to finally release tonight!

@guthrie joined me at @caffetto a earlier than usual and took his new Dell laptop he received for his birthday […footnote, actually, it was paid for entirely in Steemit rewards so again and again, thank you to everyone that upvotes these blog posts]. It was so cool for me as a nerd father to see his gradual understanding of a notebook after an entire life of using a tablet. He even asked me to set up a password so he could login on his own. My geek heart was full of pride!

Alright, back to the video. This is only part one of the larger, more ambitious Steemit short film of introductions […based on the beginning of the Guy Ritchie film, Snatch]. We had an iPhone 7 Plus with an incredible camera and an Osmo gimbal. We decided it was just be funny to do a full scale shot of the entire @caffetto Steemit community […that could make it for the shoot, that is] walking straight up gangster through the mean streets of uptown Minneapolis!

This was such an awesome day of shooting, getting to see most of the Minneapolis Steemit community all together at our @caffetto home. The longer form video to come will include @darkb4dawn, @kooks89 and a few others that couldn’t make it for the Office Space crypto-geek showdown, but for the time being, here’s the Minneapolis Steemit gang representing Minnesota!

Follow me for more video, photography, art, illustration and thoughts on life. I post almost daily. Guten nacht, Steemit!

Just taking this opportunity to say "THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING ME"

That video is awesome. I wish I had a community like that where I lived.

Haha this made me Smile more! Cheers and thank you for this post! :D

HA! Thank you @awarenessraiser! I just followed your account. You'll do so well here. Stay with it and keep turning out such great videos. You'll always have my vote going forward.

You are so awesome @kommienezuspadt! Grateful to know you! <3 :D

O______O I need to go there someday I will work harder!!! to make it possible :D Love all ur post <3

You should visit @yusaymon. Minneapolis is such a great city. Save some of those STEEM rewards and book a flight. Follow @timcliff if you aren't already. He's a great ambassador for Steemit and he's a Minnesotan as well, as is @dogguy.

@kommienezuspadt I will do it !! I don´t have Visa is complicated but I will try why not? is not impossible..! I will follow @timcliff and @dogguy thank u very much for ur words my friend ^ ^

Haha, this is so gold man. Great job :D

HA! Thanks @raizel! I was cracking up for hours editing it, lol

Brilliant! I may even log into my long-neglected facebook account just to share this...

HA! I just saw that, @mada. I still LOL when I see the coffee cup behind the tree, lol

Brilliantly fun! (Although I must admit that soundtrack always leaves me feeling a bit unfulfilled if a printer doesn't die...)

Yeah, it was definitely Mike Judge inspired @bryan-imhoff.

:) that was cool - Sometimes all the anonymity is estranging (says I that try to guard my pseudonym best I can). But cool to see that Minneapolis (one of the most beautiful city names in the US btw.) has a Steemit gang!

I'm looking forward to the extended version.

We do, @katharsisdrill. @timcliff just hosted a great Steemit Meetup and the turn out was incredible. As someone there said "You don't see people on Facebook setting aside time to get together and talk about Facebook.".

Haha, yes. There's something about that. When you get something for free you don't invest anything in it. You somehow have to work here and that creates a real community.

LMAO! Omg this is fucking epic.

I agree hahaha!

HAHA! Thank you @offbeatbroad, lol. I'm glad it turned out as good as it did. I was so happy when I saw how many Minneapolis Steemians showed up. The original idea was the longer form video that's still coming but when I saw a dozen of us there, it seemed like a missed opportunity to not shoot this as well, lol

Very nice, Will be looking forward to your posts. Up-voted :-)

Thanks very much @ingridlevinson! I appreciate it.
