Business Plan Idea Napkin, Part 1

1) You

I am a third-culture individual who has some talent in various areas of expertise. I grew up overseas, lending me insight into additional cultural values as well as a global world view and mindset. I have always been good at financial management as well as technical skills. I eventually see a business playing a central role in my life and determining my future career.

2) What are you offering to customers?

I am offering a wide array of legal, background-checked firearm parts and equipment at lower cost and more efficiency. Along with this, I hope to be able to tap into a market of individuals who are eager to buy newer, innovative firearm components.

3) Who are you offering it to?

I will be offering it to the local community, though definitely intend to create an online storefront with which to more actively tap into the national/global market. Demographically, I am expecting to be catering to men, in the age range of 25-45 and more likely to be Conservative in their values.

4) Why do they care?

They care about upholding their Constitutional right to bear arms. They care about all of our rights as Americans. As a result, this group will be looking for additional opportunities to carry out that belief. Additionally, many members of that group also enjoy hunting or the simply personal protection. With that being said, I will be able to garner business and possibly flourish with that idea.

5) What are you core competencies?

I am a natural technical skills-minded person. I possess mechanical skills that have enabled me to learn how to piece together puzzles and create components to items like I described. I have responsible weapons training and instruction as well, making me very capable of knowing my way around firearms and the safety that is necessary to owning one. As a result, I will be able to garner respect from these skills.

Conclusion)

All of these facets of myself fit together to create a piece-meal puzzle that has incredible potential to lead to a future business. However, I will need to discover additional reasons why my outlined demographic group "cares". That being said, there should be more reasons than the one listed. In that sense, I would have more ease of mind in starting a venture.
