Travel, steemit, introduction, photos - But what else does steemit have to offer?

Hi steemians.

Today I am blogging about a topic that way too many steemians have talked about much too many times. But so what? I am gonna do it too.

For the past few days, I have been logging on to steemit to read the trending topics, and don't get me wrong, they are an extremely enjoyable read and the authors have clearly put a lot of time into their posts. I respect this greatly. However I think that sometimes it's a little bit of a shame that the same few topics seem to dominate the trending page almost.

From what I have seen, the most popular topics seem to be:
Travel
Articles about steemit or other cryptocurrency news
Introductions
And last but not least, some very beautiful photos

You ask, yeh, so what?

The reason that I wanted to post this article is merely for self interest. I recognise the importance of the topics listed above, however I am sure that steemit has a lot more amazing content that is getting lost.

So! The point of this post.
