How I Started?, Why I stopped?, Why I Came Back? And Fore Sure I Will Stay "My STEEMIT Journey"

in #steemit5 years ago

Good day everyone! It's been two years and three months since the first time I met this amazing platform and community. And I want to share to you my experiences here, my ups and downs and everything that motivates me to continue my journey here in STEEMIT.

How I started? (The first time I met steemit).

My steemit journey started exactly August 2017, I discover steemit accidentally while I was finding online job or extra income online. Steemit platform easily caught my interest especially when I see the trending post payout price value which is worth hundred or thousand of dollars that time, and because of that I create an account without any hesitations and luckily my account get approved in less than two weeks. Then after that I started to create my first content, but I was very innocent that time, I don't know what kind of content I will post and I also don't know how to use posting editor or markdown. And because of my lack of knowledge in this platform that time I ended up copying contents from other sites for my first posts without noticing that I'm violating the rules here. Because of that posting mistakes my first posting experience here are failure and dissapointments.

But that mistakes and dissapointments never stops me from growing here I treat them as a lesson instead. And because of that I decided to put my very effort to every post I made, I also research how to use markdown and codes, I also learn how to communicate to the people in this community, some of them teach me what to do and some of them became my close friends. And after months of steeming and engaging here, I can say that I'm having a lot of fun here, I'm enjoying what I am doing here without noticing it, this platform became part of my everyday life. I can post without thinking the payouts and my post becomes natural because I'm enjoying it and payouts becomes just a bonus for my post while having fun.

Why I stopped? (The steemit ocean becomes polluted).

I stopped from posting here more than a year ago, and also many steemian I know stopped too. Maybe some of them stopped being active here because the value of steem is very low to benefit them but those people who stop for that reason only thinking about payouts...

The reason why I stopped being active here is behind the short story below.

Polluted Ocean

(short story)

Once upon a time there was a very big and beautiful ocean, the life of the creatures on that ocean is peaceful and has a great balance. The ocean provides all they need to live and to survive in every disasters they encounter, and that peaceful and balanced environment last for so many years until the real disaster begins. Some of the creatures in this ocean decided to live by themselves, they try to feed themselves but some of them are very big and their own food is not enough for them so they try to eat every food they see in the ocean without noticing and thinking that the food they ate is for the small fishes in the ocean and because of that the small fishes who's keeping the balance of the ocean's ecosystem becomes weaker and weaker overtime.

but that disaster was only the begining.....

There are also artificial creatures who's spreading along the ocean, at first these artificial creatures don't affect the ocean environment but as time goes by this artificial creatures creates a very big damage to the ocean balanced ecosystem, because this creature is made of different toxic materials which eventually polluting the ocean to the point that small fishes in this ocean started to die slowly one by one. And only the big creatures and the fishes who's strong enough to resist the pollution in the ocean can survive.

in that story you can understand why I stopped posting in steemit before. let's say I'm one of those small fishes and steemit is the ocean...

Why I Came Back? (It's Fun and Comfortable To Swim In This Ocean Now) #Newsteem balance.

I came back because I missed posting, I missed my friends here, I missed the community, I missed steemit and I missed everything that brings positivity to me here.

But most of all.....

I came back because I see that things here getting better now, Many whales are doing manual curation now and even bid bots who's selling votes before are adopting the #newsteem and I'm very thankfull for that, The #newsteem and its positive effect can attract people into steem community, and also #newsteem can encourage the steemians like me who stopped from creating content before to came back because they will be heard and their efforts will be seen and rewarded. The #newsteem appreciate proof of brain, proof of hardworks, proof of tears and everything done with efforts and I am very thankful for that.

If this positive changes continues... I think there's no reason for me to get discourage again and I will probably say that I will stay no matter what...

And also a big thank you to all the curation projects, whales and bidbot owners who choose to adjust to support the newsteem, a big salute to all of you... I don't mention you in this post but you all know who you are, and also I don't intend to mention anyone in this post because the message of this post is for everyone....

Thank you on your time spent reading this content.

I wasnt part of the old community. And i notice a lot of frustrations coming from those who joined steemit last year. I feel though that the community is making much effort to revive steemit, and to be honest compared to the other platforms I have seen, steemit is incomparable. So yeah, I really think there is much future here and it is looking bright (no matter what others think). Ive been in the roller coaster ride called crypto investing and I still am here - I believe that the future of digital tech is blockchain tech, and steem is on the frontline.

The old steem community is great it inspire many people (including me), but some things didn't work out and cause a lot of negative effect and frustrations to others.. but thanks to people who stayed here especially the one who give their all efforts to make the newsteem possible....

And yes your right, this platform is uncomparable, the community is amazing, the community accepts and appreciate the efforts you made and it inspires us day by day...

I think the same about the community here. I've never had friends who are like my family now in other platforms. Most posts in other social media sites are shitposts too and I've never had insightful feedbacks with my art before. I'm grateful for this community.

I think, we need to think not about money, but about our development and the quality of the content!

Yes we need to learn how to enjoy what we are doing with or without money involve..

Well happy to have you back.
If you can your old steem friends in Bulacan, tell them the #newsteem and keep on steemin again.

Same sentiments. I joined Steem last September 2017 and it was one hell of a journey since then. But I never left. I just posted less and less, but I'm still lurking in the shadows. I always update myself of the drama, but I never chimed in. Good thing #newsteem happened. Now, I won't worry on how my posts will get the attention of the community. I can focus more on creating quality contents.

Let's keep on steeming and revive the once vibrant Philippine community. Steem on!

I think all the Filipinos on old steem can relate in this one.. I also update myself on what's happening here before..
Yes we need to show to every people how beautiful #newsteem is especially to our fellow filipino steemian..
And hopefully soon the Philippine community here grow much bigger than before....

Welcome back. Thanks for your story. For a minute I thought I was Ariel the Little Mermaid coming back to sea. Hehehe!
I miss my fellow steemians here in Steemit UAE too.
Hoping steemit stays on track again looking better. Keep in touch po!

Thank you @erelasblog, I'm very happy to see you back as well, we need to show to our old friends how amazing this community now.. it's time to bring back the glow of Philippine (#steemph) community here and it starts from us....

Thank you @cardboard and @tipu for the support!
