RE: How to make $175,000+ a year posting YouTube videos
Dang why even bother with posting on steemit if there are still users like this? Though battle for the good guys but thanks for fighting back @themarkymark.
Because I have a small glimmer of hope it will be worth it in the end.
Hey I had commented on a post I didn’t realize was a scammer. I unfollowed and thank you for pointing it out!
Keep up the good fight👍
Hey @themarkymark, I wanted to propose you something. You know that @buildawhale has a 10 minute minimum age for a post to be biddable. I don't know if it already does this, but if it doesn't, what if @buildawhale accepted posts that are GOING to be 10 minutes old by the time that @buildawhale gets to vote time?
It does do that but I usually keep it at 20 mins. I moved it to 10 but will likely change it back to 20 mins as many people are trying to take advantage of the vote window to avoid curation rewards.
Almost everything I make goes to my delegator, so curation rewards is pretty much all I get.
Oh, I didn't know that u.u
It's selfish but I haven't been recouping my SBD investment with many bots, so I'm kind of in the lookout for reliable bid bots for this purpose. I know it isn't easy for the bot owners either, though. It's hard to keep the money rolling when everything is an expense.
Thank you for your efforts, though :) Even though I may not use it, your bot is one of the best out there, so props for that!
Most people are profitable with my bot as we get less bids as spammers are scared to use our service. You need to factor in Steem Power when looking at ROI.
Bots are promotional tools not cash registers. No industry in the world takes money to promote your product and then does that and gives your money back and then pays you on top of that out of their pocket.
LOL! I know :3 I do take SP into consideration, and it's the reason why I'm not shy when picking bots. My only concern is that I don't really have any SBD income, so if I throw money at post-curation posts for a 2.1 multiplier, I will get my investment back in SP, but if I want to keep promoting, I'll have to power down and use that as funds to keep the ball rolling.
That seems a bit counter productive, which is the reason why I look for bots that return the SBD I put in. Things like @minnowbooster or even @smartmarket (which does lose me some SBD but it's not like @postpromoter or other bots that give me a 1.x multiplier).
I know I'm asking for too much, but since there's a market for it, I shamelessly take it.
I know exactly what you mean and it is difficult. The secret is making AMAZING content that gets organic votes. Then you really come out ahead.
Bots will give you a profit, but not always in liquid SBD. Which makes it hard to "churn" the bots.
If at all possible, consider buying SBD or even Steem and invest in the platform you use.
Exactly! I can get positive comments and all, but even if bots didn't give me a full return in SBD and SP, it would be worth it if, by getting into the trending lists, the posts got seen by curators and voters that return the SBD investment and a little more.
This is what I've been trying to achieve, but since it's going a bit slow, I take care to use only the bots that will let me continue circulating the money in 7-day cycles.
Now that you mention it, I'll try and check some curation lists and see where my content is different. Maybe I can fix some stuff to make my posts more attractive.
Seeing that you're the owner of one of such curation lists, may I ask a favor from you? If you have the time, I'd like you to take a superficial look at my latest posts and see if you notice a pattern of something I can improve. I'm sure you have a trained eye that is more accustomed to seeing good-quality posts. I'm sorry if this feels a little out of place.
"Why even bother living when there are thieves and rapists running wild in every city and major town?"
Or you could just try to improve the community and take measures like the ones themarkymark and therealwolf are taking by fighting abusers. I also help a little by reporting abusers to Steemcleaners, although my vote is worth like 0.01 and I have no other way to influence.
Steem is the dream I didn't know I had. I wouldn't let it die just because a few bandits lurk in some dusty corners.
I know you mean well but that quote is brutal. I do not think all bad will ever go away. I was emphasizing that this happens more often than people realize. Especially the large whales that are raking in thousands of steems a day. I tip off my hat to you for calling out the bandits. I for one hope there are more good than bad so that steemit can thrive. Most of my crypto is in steem, so I am a believer good will prevail. I am hoping one day that I have enough steem to actually do something about these like themarkymark. Thanks.
Oh, to be young (on Steemit) again. Flush with hope.
Because it's the only social media platform where a person can invest zero, and grow an account into thousands, with an opportunity/option to invest in other alt coins. If you know something offering better...let me know.
Peace.
