Hugh Grant Drinks From Shoe On Boozy Oxford Night Out

in #steemit8 years ago

The 'shoey' as it is more affectionately known involves pouring alcohol (whatever your choice) into your shoe and downing it.The tradition arises from Oz, and has now captured another celebrity - it's a celebration often common whenever F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, an Aussie, wins an F1 race. He's managed to get Gerard Butler to do it also, as well as ex-driver Mark Webber.

LAD!He was enjoying a drinking sesh with Oxford University rugby players at New College Bar after being invited by the team. Grant was a student at New College from 1979 where he studied English Literature. The team tweeted him last week saying: "Please make sure to bring the NCRFC tie with you next Tuesday for a quiet pint at the bar." Quiet, hmm?!

The college and Oxford University have declined to comment on Grant's appearance at the student bar.The actor, starred in his first film whilst at New College. The movie, Privileged, was produced by the Oxford University Film Foundation. During his studies, he joined the Piers Gaveston Societywhich is described, on Wikipedia, as being famed for its reputation of 'debauchery and decadence'.
