I think that is dependant on your followers and quality of posts. You get the same amount of steem as anyone else just depends on the votes you get

OK so if your followers have high reps you get a high rep?
I think you're rep increases more if higher level to folk vote for your posts but I could be wrong

OK makes sense so the real thing is upvotes and how much steem the person who upvotes you has. Maybe rep also helps your posts get into the high steem people's feeds... I wonder.
I don't think rep helps in that way at all. The only way you will get in peoples feeds is by them following you or someone that they do follow resteeming your post.
I genuinely wouldn't worry about it. I think if you post daily out at least regularly and interact with people you will see results
