Actually FB activists made Bernie Sanders a thing. Not to mention the amount of local success in bringing people together for action in their own communities. If you don't see it, you haven't participated wisely or with positive intention. I'm becoming less and less of a FB fan, but there are ways the platform has facilitated some amazing stuff.

The Bernie Sanders "thing?!?!" Actually, what you characterize as "amazing" turned out not to be such a thing, after all. It could have been a huge thing - but it wasn't, in the end. Perhaps he should have been the rightful democratic nominee for president - IDK. It seems like the DNC decided to shoot him down, despite all of this FB "amazingness" you speak of. What's even more amazing, to me, is that if this FB movement was really so amazing - why did they, amazingly, utterly fail to change the results of the most recent election. After all, their results were insufficient to change the world we live in. Sadly, "almost" doesn't quite add up to "amazing" - at least not in my estimation.

He pulled the Democratic Party platform the farthest to the left it's ever been. And it's still a thing that matters. I guess we'll see what happens in local elections. But full agreement from me that the Dems are in a shambles.
