5 things that Steemit should improve!
Hello friends of Steemit, today I bring you an interesting topic, in this case I will pose 5 alternatives or possibilities that Steemit should consider implementing in some way or another in the future.
source
Let's not forget that Steemit is still in a beta phase which means that the platform is still in development and that there is still a long way to go, taking into account that it has been around for more than a year, since its launch was in 2016.
5 things that Steemit should improve in the future:
1) Search system
I am not the only one who has found the search system in Steemit to be confusing. Especially new users on the platform can find it difficult to find what they want.
Its complication is because it is a tool exercised by Google Custom Search and the first thing we find when doing a search are Ads (advertising), which can distract us from what we want to find.
source
Since Steemit is cataloged as a "social network", it should have a search system similar to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, among many other networks; Make it easy and simple to have a more effective result.
2) Update in real time
As the title says, a real-time update of the posts published by the users that we follow in our account or in general, that is, it is not necessary to update the page manually to get the new posts published.
source
A similar concept would be Twitter, which notifies you in the "Feed" or "timeline", how many posts there are new and if you want to update to be shown to you.
It is impractical and somewhat tedious to update the Steemit page manually from time to time to get the latest posts uploaded.
3) Private messaging or direct message (DM)
A system that every social network has, provide the possibility of being able to talk to someone through private messaging, since the only way to communicate with another user in Steemit is through comments made through a post.
source
Because Steemit does not have private messaging, you have to look for other alternatives and that is why it is very common to see that users use "Discord", to create groups, speak privately and share ideas.
4) Notifications panel
It is common in Steemit to leave certain things overlooked and is that the social network does not notify us in any way when in a post they leave us a comment, they give us upvote / downvote or resteem, if you do not check it yourself in the publication you would never know .
That is why users tend to use pages that explain in detail any activity that occurred in a period of time in relation to the user's account, such as:
- steemd.com/@user (you place your user)
- steemstats.com
- steemnow.com
source
There are an infinity of pages that facilitate this task. Steemit should save you this job and show you in a much easier and accessible way any activity that occurred with respect to the account.
5) Personalized recommendation of posts
Maybe the trend tabs, new, rising and promoted are not enough. Add a new tab called "Recommended for you" that shows recommended posts based on the tags that we usually visit would not be otherwise.
source
A clear example implemented would be on YouTube, when it shows us in the "feed" videos that say "recommended", they are based on the category or style of videos that we usually see on the platform.
Something similar could be implemented in Steemit to review posts that suit our tastes and that there is a great opportunity to get our attention and we like it.
source
There is no doubt that Steemit is a wonderful and incredible platform but as I said before we must not forget that it is in a "beta" phase and that it is still in development, therefore it still lacks many things and aspects to perfect.
Over time Steemit will improve and progress; Like your community and the number of users, I hope in the future to see some of my proposals implemented on the platform. Greetings and good vibes for everyone!
NAILED IT!! Well done...well done... hope they listen!
Too much ...going here and there, needs all in one spot, linked in and easily accessed...and get rid of the bots...
