One of the reasons I don't resteem more often is a lack of comment function. It would be nice to be able to point out why I felt the content was worthy of a resteem, or put my own commentary on it, or tag others who might specifically be interested in reading it.

I still resteem, but doing so absent the explanation always feels weird.

If people who follow you read the post you resteemed, they will likely see your comment. Do you think this could be a possible workaround until that functionality gets built into Steemit?

It's honestly about the only workaround possible at this point. Directly tagging people in the comment section is the other way I can think of, but that's just to bring an individual's attention to the matter, and it seems both spammy and time-consuming to @ a whole bunch of user names. :)

If it's any consolation, Twitter used to be a text box form, and now look at all the things you can do. You used to have to write RT for a retweet and hashtags weren't clickable. I agree about not tagging a list of people. Nice to meet you, by the way.
