INTROVERTS AND THE WORLD WITHIN
A lot, if not most people think that the life of an introvert lacks adventure, energy and the adrenaline that is needed to live a daring life. This in part is true, but what most people fail to realise is that introverts have the ability to create for themselves new and audacious enterprises inside of them which is just dying to burst out like water out of rock. Their minds are fascinating, exciting and totally intriguing. It’s like they have built a world inside their minds where they escape to find comfort and ease, a world of their own, where they do not feel left out. This is a brief epic about Introverts, as explained by one.
They frequently have a battle within them, like two personalities struggling in a single space. One is the timid, unadventurous, low self-esteemed, boring dude, while the second is the audacious, wild sky high and extreme personality seemingly confined (NARUTO had the nine tails inside him after all). There exists a different character, other than the one people are used to seeing, who is capable of absolutely anything.
One issue however, is most introverts do not actually know what they have within them. They are not aware of what they are capable of doing because they put everything and everyone they’ve ever met above themselves. For a lot of them, there is also the issue of expressing themselves and this usually results in tuning everyone out of their lives. Within them, they find the comfort and luxury which makes them feel at ease. If they could just develop the gem within them, they will do exploits. However, their environment and other things serve as hindrances to this.
There are days where they have that “I just want to shut myself off the world” feelings. These days are like resets or hibernation process. It is a technique used to help with self-reflection and a temporary escape; like someone trying to drown himself in music, or a silent moment alone in a room (even in one filled with people). These are unavoidable moments.
Now let’s touch the L word, yes LOVE. It is an absolute mountain to begin with. Introverts are very complicated in this aspect. They could really like someone and want to talk to them, but a second after, they completely ignore the person. This is far from pride, instead, making conversations is difficult. Anyway, it boils down to the fact that expressing feelings is a huge step for them, even if the other person likes them too. If the person fails to understand this part of them, everything is ruined before it even starts.
Nevertheless, I feel these set of people are the best kind of people to be around. Taking a trip into their minds could prove a beautiful adventure. All they need is the right kind of people around them (parents, friends, etc.) who can go the extra mile for them; and a platform to channel their strengths into something amazing.
