Well, you can always focus on posting mostly multimedia such as potos, videos or music with little text and still get good results... no need to write novels in English. There are also some big communities of people not speaking english on steemit already, so you cans till get good results. But generally if writing in English you will be getting the broadest audience and more possible votes than if writingin a langunage that less people here will understand.
