RE: How I disappeared for a week and assumed a new identity - Part 1

Woohoo! Welcome back. I think you have my stuff on an autovote (or you're following a trail that does; thank you either way :) ), but it was weird getting upvotes from your account when I knew you didn't have access to it and it wasn't really you there. It's almost like listening to voicemail from someone after they died, and it's sad and beautiful at the same time.

Ok, maybe a bit overdramatic, but congrats on recovering the account!

It's definitely ok to have an alt account, I think, for any number of reasons. If you lose your main account again you have a backup, or if you suddenly get a huge pile of SBD and want to move it out of your main account for safekeeping, you can transfer to your alt account.

Wow, this just reminded me of the saddest scene from Sword Art Online.

It's almost like listening to voicemail from someone after they died,

Either I’m alive and well or someone hacked my account and us now posting as me. Heh heh.

Hi @negativer. Yes! I'm back! And it's so awesome. Thank you for the death analogy. I prefer purgatory, myself, as that's where I felt like I was stuck. (And since you and I were still communicating on Discord, at least you didn't really think I croaked!)

Great tips about a secondary account. I may write a post about that too. I'm considering using it kind of like a pen name, the way some authors do who write in multiple genres and don't want to muddy their reputation with their readers. Maybe that's where I'll post all of my romance fiction. Ha ha. Just kidding. But you know what I mean -- different types of content from different accounts. I think I'd probably drive myself bananas, though.
