Surprised to see Steemit here!

My family continues to provide me stories that surprise me everyday. This week, my daughter had an elementary school assignment related to Mother’s Day as expected. What we did not expect is what she wrote!

“I love you because... My mom means everything to me because she is sweet. Also, I like to craft with my mom. Sometimes my dad helps my mom to do Steemit. And also, I love that she takes care of me and that she will risk anything for me. I love you Mom!”

The fact that she wrote it and spelled it correctly is amazing to me. It also shows how aware she is of the world today. She often asks me why I use a keyboard and mouse instead of talking to the computer or using a touchscreen. It is crazy how times change so quickly as I used to ask my parents why they would write letters to the family instead of calling.

I am happy that she is aware of the things we try to do as a family and I hope she will cherish the memories forever. It also got me to talking to her about Steemit and why I do it. It seems she likes my passion for what I am doing which means a great deal for me as I partially do it for a future where I can be more free from everyday obligations in order to share more time with the family. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I have enjoyed living it!

BTW, teachers and mothers kept asking my wife about Steemit so my daughter is a #Steemit promoter now!
