FORGIVENESS.
MAX LUCADO AND LEWIS B SMITH shared a similar quote;
MOSES AND JESUS CHRIST ALSO shared a similar quote;
FORGIVENESS IS UNLOCKING THE DOOR TO SET SOMEONE FREE, AND REALISING YOU WERE THE PRISONER.
"To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you."
in the bible, Jesus Christ and Moses share a similar Quote which was later enacted as STATUTORY LAW,
MOSES SAID, AN EYE FOR AN EYE A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.
JESUS SAID IF SOMEONE SLAPPED YOU TURN THE OTHER CHEEK.
Well, Moses and Jesus wanted to tell you that before you go back picking the eye or the tooth or the leg or the whatever has been picked,
- Make sure it is the same eye
- make sure it is the same person
- Make sure it is the same calculated pain, nothing more nothing less.
And if you have been slapped and you are asked to slap the person back you have to make sure the same pain you felt is the same pain the other must feel.
You are supposed to do that in the same place at the same time when the incident occurred any other place renders it as a separate brawl and the fellow who has been hit must retaliate per Moses law.
BUT THERE IS A WAY TO MAKE THE ONE WHO ATTACKED YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE, AND THAT IS TO WALK AWAY.
WILL YOU ALLOW SOMEONE TO SLAP YOU AND STAND TO BE SLAPPED ONCE AGAIN?
TO FORGIVE IS TO LET GO, NOT TO FORGET.
NO ONE CAN FORGET WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. NO ONE CAN. BUT YOU CAN LET IT GO AND THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO FORGIVE.
