*Spanish police stop Guardiola's private plane to see if Puigdemont was with him*
Pep Guardiola's private plane was intercepted on arrival at Barcelona's El Prat airport by Spanish police checking whether Carles Puigdemont was travelling on board.
The former Catalan leader fled to Belgium last year following the region's independence vote and will be arrested if he steps foot back on Spanish soil.
According to Catalunya Radio, when Guardiola returned to Barcelona on Sunday, officers stepped on board to search the aircraft for signs of Puidemont, although only the Manchester City boss, his wife and children were on board.
In a further La Vanguardia report, they claim that the same situation happened on Thursday when Guardiola's plane returned to Barcelona, with officers once more checking if the fugitive was on board.
On that occasion, the report claims that the checks were routine and it was not known if members of Guardiola's family were on board.
