Have you ever thought about how much your online presence is worth? What value do you create here? - to better explain what I mean lets look at a social media platform we all use - Facebook. What is Facebook worth?

Four Hundred and Thirty-Three BILLION DOLLARS! they earn billions of dollars in profit each quarter and you don't see a cent of it.

How much are you worth? How much of what you create online is worth anything? It's obviously worth something because otherwise Facebook wouldn't be making such a killing.

This is what happens when you take Facebook and its overhead and Mark Zuckerberg out of the equation. Content Creators (i.e all of us) get what we deserve. Every post, every comment, every like gives and gets real monetary value (as long as it's good, just as upvotes give money downvotes take money away).

How does this work? Is there a subscription? Donations? Is this a pyramid scheme?

This works on the same mechanism that gives the banknotes in your wallet value. Trust. But while Fiat currencies (USD/GRP/KSH) are based on trust in governments, cryptocurrencies are based on trust in the blockchain.
