This system rocks as far as I am concerned, and if the SMT's ever do hit it, every little sliver will no longer be so little.

I am more and more of the opinion that SMT’s are the future if their rollout goes well. A huge caveat, but if SMT’s do well, I am convinced that early adopters (basically, everyone who holds SP now) will do very, very well.
I agree! And I also agree there is some concern about how well it will go.
There are some who are so set against them, that will yell no matter how well they are deployed. On the other hand, it is a LOT of change and a difficult endevor.
