A city, two sides, a war| Una ciudad, dos bandos, una guerra

Cáceres after defeating the Muslims, was repopulated by Leoneses, Asturians, Galicians and Castilians. Its inhabitants were divided into two groups: the Leonese and the Castilians.

The nobles of both sides faced each other frequently, and the situation became extremely violent and chaotic.

In 1476 to resolve the disputes, a Corregidor is sent with orders from the Catholic Queen to get the order he had taken:

They had to eliminate the defensive elements and reduce the height of those towers.

But that had no effect so that Queen Elizabeth herself went to the place on July 9, 1477 to warn that if the above was not met, there would be serious penalties.
One of the affected towers is La Torre de Sande.

There were exceptions, one of them to distinguish the fidelity of a paladin and member of the Royal Council of the Catholic Kings.

Pero eso no tuvo efecto alguno por lo que la propia reina Isabel en persona se dirigió hacia el lugar, el 9 de julio de 1.477 para avisar de que si no se cumplía lo anteriormente dicho, habría graves penalizaciones.
Una de las torres afectadas es La Torre de Sande.

Hubo excepciones, una de ellas para distinguir la fidelidad de un paladín y miembro del Real Consejo de los Reyes Católicos.
