A good way to introduce steemit to NOT so tech savvy friends?

Is this a good way to introduce steemit to people not tech savvy?

Please leave your thoughts.

Do you like your facebook, twitter, reddit and other social media?
but hate the adverts, censorship and trolls?
What if there was a social media site where everyone got paid to like, comment, rate and post stuff?
Who wouldn't wanna get paid to spend time watching, making, reading and commenting online?

Steemit has just made this possible! Sounds too good too be true?

Well , you really get 7$ worth of stuff just for signing up - costing you about 20 seconds.
After which you can earn more each time you like, comment or post content.
The more people like your content and comments, the more you earn on your posts.
The site is up and fully functional, it took me 20 seconds to sign up (through facebook) and the site is reminiscent of reddit and old school Facebook combined (clean & simple).
Theres apps like the old facebook.
And posting and finding content is easier than it is on reddit; and the best part is you get paid.
Like seriously there are people on here earning thousands per day. I just made 7p for posting my first article.

Even though this hasn't been out for very long, there's a tonne of content; and it doesn't ask for personal details so feels really non intrusive. So get your free 7$, and get on there now to get your first dibs on Usernames (mines 'raph'). Follow me.
Sort:

I would just call it a blog.

True it is very blog like.
But It would be nice if there was more to it than just a blog.

Yeah, but if you try to explain more than that, you're going to lose them.
Especially if they don't frequent a blog.

Thanks for the feedback; I edited the original post:
