House robbed - STEEM stolen.
So my friend recently got robbed, and what happened is pretty funny. He always leaves his computer on and when it's off it's got the PC password as the hint which allows anyone to log on.
What we believe happened is the robber was looking around and found the PC on, and on Steemit.com. The robber must have been interested as the PC history shows some Steem/Steemit FAQ pages.
Now, my friend being the dumbass he is, had a .txt file that literally contains all his username/password/sec combinations. He thought that naming it g.txt would guide people away but that didn't work. So the robber logs on, sees steemit, researches, looks around, finds a password, sends around 4K STEEM to a fresh exchange account, looks around the house for more, leaves.
The jackass cleared any sign of him by seperstely removing pages related to him on the history but my friend obviously set himself up for this.
Total Loss: Around 70k+. Lucky for him he's loaded :/
Seems far fetched.
Dude had time to sit down and read a facking FAQ during a robbery?
