51 Pool plans to attack the classic Ethereum Network (ETC)

in #steemit8 years ago

During the last few days, there are various rumors about 51% attacks that will oppose the classic Ethereum network. Although some of the previous efforts are still in the scope of the speculation, 51 A Pool to move forward with his plan to destroy the Next construct network

Since the classical Ethereum has been proven able to stand on its own, for today, Ethereum community is quite hostile to this project. That is quite strangely again, considering both this ecosystem is one the same thing, the difference is that one has a hard solution fork and the other side does not apply hard fork.

Some members of the community Ethereum had decided to destroy the network ETC, or at least try to stop. This project is called with 51 A Pool, currently mining the Ethereum charged with the cost of 0.25%. Originally started with the cost of 0%, but these activities even to stop.

The purpose of the 51 Pool numbered simple: gather strength of mine that enough to perform an attack on the network ETC. Now the strength of Classical Ethereum mining sit in 464 GH/s, still takes less time to perform attacks on the network ETC. 51 Pool emphasized, Pool will continue to mine ETH for today until hashrate targeted can be reached.

51 Pool will try to attack with the strength of the 51 percent to the network ETC. Using the modify client Go-Ethereum, the owner of a pool hopes to reach the attack and forge block ETC mined.

Why the people must join with 51 A Pool with the plan of their attack, the answer is simple:

Prove ETC not immuteable

hash off rate ETC to destroy the network

removes the uncertainty of ETH vs ETC

INCREASE VALUE ETH in the market

See how many anti-forkers consider "code is the law"

be part of the history of

this matter is not the effort that represents the overall Ethereum community. In fact Ethereum developers can only prevent all the chaos that has happened, then if they want to. But this is very interesting to see whether they developers decided to intervene or not.

UPVote ! nice

I invested a ridiculously small sum in DAO. I voted for the hard fork. I was and am still mining ETH. Still, I can't honestly say I like this plan. For me it is kinda sad, that this attack is even considered. Right now so many people of BOTH communities behave like children. I would like to see ETC given up, but on its own terms and not by attacking it. These attackers are not better than that black hat hacker, who is very good looking, btw. .... OK, it was me ;-)

This sounds really petty. Really people, you have nothing better to do? I promise an ETC crash will not reflect well on ETH.

Hi! This post has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of 11.1 and reading ease of 63%. This puts the writing level on par with Michael Crichton and Mitt Romney.
