Bot vs Bot... no one wins.

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Let's mediate this, find a resolution that suits all parties, and then get you two back to supporting new users!

@resteembot and @resteem.bot

Let's talk.

I have no stake in either side "winning" and will serve as a neutral party offering advice and compromise for resolution. All the fight is doing is hurting the newbies you're both trying to help... so lets stop it.

Whad'ya say? Let's show that on SteemIt we can work to resolutions that work for everyone without forming lynch mobs or moderators stepping in...

Battle of bots?

No one wins, they merge and build skynet :)

Actually - I have an idea.
@resteem.bot - I want to buy your account, and make it to a better resteeming bot.
I don't care about your logo, followers, and posts. You can remove them all. I am only interested to have your username.

Tell me your price!

The problem is, nobody notice his account so we get the negative feedback for his spam bot network. People think this spam ist from us. @resteem.bot

Honestly, I struggle to believe that given the fact he is tagged in those posts... Meaning they would be clicking a link to his account.

People associate his spam with our name. @resteem.bot

Again, offer some proof of this... because I can see no evidence in any replies to his spam or message transactions to your account. It sounds like you're making this up.

Of course people will associate you with spam, when you spam.
Did you think it was an accident?

I can agree to stop trolling you and to minimize the advertisement (by a lot), if you stop appearing in my event feed (completely).

He also has twice the followers, and over twice your reputation, and his account existed before yours was created.

If it is a problem, it would be as a result of poor due diligence on your part to not fully review the name you were choosing. Unless your goal was, as he has suggested, to copy his.

Regardless, could you please provide some evidence of these negative feedback from the mistaken identity you claim to be receiving

Nobody cares about him. :) The problem are the spam bots. @resteem.bot

He has twice the followers you do.
He has loads of users using his service.

That's a weak argument.

All of your self-tags here are VERY spammy by the way. You've provided no evidence to support any of your arguments, and your rep is down to 20. Clearly people care about him.

The more you make your arguments, the more I'm beginning to believe the problem isn't with him... but with you. That this is YOUR way to try and market yourself... which if it's true, I will likely escalate to the wales to deal with because we obviously won't be able to get anywhere here.

Actually - I have twice less followers.
Mine are 1'700
His are 3'200

But I believe I have 5 times more real followers (non-fake users).
My bot follows nobody.
His follows 32'000 people

When somebody resteems with him, that person is showing his content mostly to bots.

I might be wrong of course.
Maybe his followers are real, and he only follows 32'000 people because he's interested in the content of all of them (or something like that).
