Umm really? I’m pretty opposed/tired of people trying to claim this as a “biblical” idea or even a historically Christian teaching. Paul makes a comment that suggests that if a person can’t take a vow of celibacy then get married, but beyond that...the Hebrew Bible shows that sex is indeed for married couples...and his 200 concubines or slave girl.

From a pastoral care perspective I don’t even think this is good advice. It sets up the couple for a lot of false expectations, disappointments, fear, and/or hurt. Not advocating the opposite, but dont think this is good or right: “Many have shared that hymen blood in sexual activity with demon-possessedmen while some others have struck such precious covenants with candle sticks as they exercised sex with it“...(1) that’s not how a covenant works in the scriptures, and (2) umm...candlesticks? By that logic guy who masturbates is making a covenant with...his hand? or a guy who has a wet dream...with the mattress? Plus, the comments regarding hymens by others are right on...
