Billionaire Bill Gates Complains his Steemit Blog Posts aren't getting Enough Attention

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Tragedy befell the well known inventor of the Windows brand yesterday, after yet another of his personal blog posts went almost entirely unnoticed by the Steemit community, gaining only 2 upvotes from users who were too new to increase the value of his post. It seems the kind-hearted billionaire has been trying for weeks to get success on the Steemit platform, posting original memes, short stories, cooking recipes, and even traditional Hungarian folk dancing lessons. In a tear-jerking blog post yesterday morning, Bill outlined how his "brilliant original content" was being "stomped on" by "stupid posts by losers who aren't even as good as me." It seems the money-man was disheartened after reading a story about an American truck driver, which he described as "the most boring read since Kafka." His spirits were further crushed after his Pokemon meme repost:

was overshadowed by a story of "some trespassing bimbo getting bit by a billipede". He quickly lashed out on twitter, denouncing steem users and especially the voters themselves (angrily calling the heavy-hitters "whales" in reference to their weight, probably not realizing that that is actually the correct term for high-profile Steemit users) in a tirade of tweets which he quickly deleted after public backlash.

But to his credit, Mr. Gates has got back on his horse, quickly releasing a blog post about his favourite way to caramelize onions:

followed by a 20,000-word Harry Potter fanfiction, where Bill himself assumes the role of Harry Potter and uses early '90s computer programming, rather than magic, to defeat Lord Voldemort. Both these posts went almost entirely ignored, with only 3 upvotes apiece, and only one comment on the onion blog, by steemit user "bleachedasshole" who said: "Hey nice man check out and upvote my posts!"

It is unsure whether the brilliant Bill will continue his steemit endeavours, but for now he is doubtless crying over the missed opportunities, or perhaps writing another instalment for his fan-fic.
