Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 1/2/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 1/2/2023.

Feb 2023 we previously had a big fall that took Steem down to $0.14 and with such a fall this actually helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. Due to that low price drop and the continued support from you guys we managed to hit 43k before going into 2023. It could of been a lot better but we lost some support a long the way, although we also did gain some so let's not be discouraged. Since then the price as gone up in the general market this includes Steem, a good sign but not for reaching our goal. However it doesn't really matter as the point of us trying to reach our 50k goal is to secure and raise the price of Steem. Many experts claim that this jump in the market is a fake incentive to get people interested in buying again, but we do have to note that it's been holding rather well for a fake. Steem still sells at a accessible price however what doesn't is these days our average electrical usage charge, it's so much more costly compared to just a few months back. These greedy energy companies just don't stop milking from people. I mention this as it cuts into investment, so many things have gone up in price. January didn't bring in much better with the weather being colder and the cost of living spiralling upwards hitting hard. Many are left wondering when will it all get better? The bad news is most likely it won't, I mean it never as before and so why do people continue to think there will be a reverse on these costs I don't know? Back on Jan 14th I saw a news article asking the same question, but claiming that as we go deeper into the year the cost of living will go down. More articles since then claim the same, well I don't ever remember hearing or ever seeing the costs going down, it always goes up so good luck with that. Apparently the reasoning for all this is the war in Ukraine, but honestly if that's the case we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead attack, strike up fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

Since the past few years have been mostly awful I don't expect this one being much better, people just seem to be getting worse, losing themselves more and more and doing horrendous things to each other. When I got up this morning it was pitch black this is because it was very early in the morning I had been dreading this day for a while as I don't think I have had an early shift like this since my previous boss who was horrendous. I continue to look back and think it's insane how wrong that guy was and how badly he treated many of he's employees. While it was difficult to get up this morning it was slightly easier than I expected I think I just kept telling myself that I'm lucky I don't have to be in for long and that when I arrive home I will take a nap. My original plan was to go and see friends but I suspected getting up this morning was going to take a toll on that plan. When I left home it was still pitch black out I'm just glad it wasn't that cold, except when I noticed strangely I would arrive too early meaning nobody would be there and I just didn't want to look that eager lol. But as I suspected my boss was already waiting for me infact he forgot we would be meeting so early this morning as he was expecting the regular guy to show up. Once we got settled I wasn't doing the usual but knew exactly what needed to get done as it was the same work I used to do with my previous horrible boss. Getting the work done was so chill this time compared to when that idiot used to be in charge and again it made me reflect on just how unnecessary the guy was towards many employees. But there was still one more thing that made me reflect on that today for the 3rd time and that was later when one of the staff came in and was shocked to see me. He made a point saying he doesn't think he's seen me in this early since the idiot bossman was in charge mentioning those were not great days. I couldn't argue with him on that but for the rest of the day it was pretty smooth I was already feeling tired before I was about to leave so thought I definitely made the right choice not seeing friends later. When I got home I decided to start on a few chorus first, the plan was when I felt tired enough to sleep I would go for a nap. I thought the moment at arrived at one point and so I tried going to sleep, it was strangely difficult to fall asleep but I did eventually and got some rest. I didn't feel great when I got up which I kind of expected and so went for a shower which didn't fully help feeling a little sick with a slight headache. But still I thought I would try tonight's gaming session as it might take my mind of it plus I don't believe I can join any time during the weekend. I thought I would probably fall asleep or have to leave early but in the end it was fine but it didn't take my mind off the headache or make it any worse. I think the only thing will be to get some extra rest tonight.

As for Steem the Steemit community in Korea is holding a special offline meetup in Busan, this will be on February 4th Saturday. A top 20 witness "donekim" is inviting questions from the Steemit community that he will put forward to the Steemit team before the meeting. He then hopes to report back with their answers and so if your interested in reading more or asking your own question go to the Donekim Steemit Team Qs post. Steem took a big fall ever since the bitcoin downwave from 60k this sadly also took down the value of SBD's, however it had done a good job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is now SBD's can once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again and so far it's looking healthy to be doing just that. What I like about Steem now is it still offers so much opportunity for those investors who realise the enrichment that comes from holding such a token. In one way I wanted the crypto market to remain on the lower end for a while longer, this is to try and get some discounts on various cryptos and in turn hopefully getting a small ROI with Steem. As for TRX there was also a drop in price but once again.. we have stopped receiving TRX rewards. There sure often seems to be issues with receiving these TRX rewards and so I do wish they would focus a little more on this re-occurring problem as it looks so bad on Steemit. From what is understood initially there was bug/issue with how TRX was being distributed, from what I could see instead of receiving half we was still getting almost the full amount. It is a little surprising just how long it was taking them to basically cut the TRX rewards in half, this was announced back in October 2022. The team were saying that all these TRX rewards from it's down date will still be received into our wallets once the issue as been resolved. Hopefully this will happen but I'm assuming what will be received is the TRX "at the new rate of earning" and not the rewards we had previously seen being displayed. There was a note saying that the issue would be fixed before Christmas but to no surprise we are heading into the 2nd month of the new year and still nothing. However we do seem to have the correct amount being displayed on the wallet page now.. progress? I hope so... actually I received some TRX on the 10th of Jan but when I next excepted rewards I checked the following morning to see if they were received and even checked today but there's still nothing coming through.
